Wine Source very own grower Champagne! We are extremely pleased to announce the arrival of our very own bubbles, made by artisan maker José Lievens. Our team has long been fans of the work that José carries in his vineyards in the village of Berru, a stone throw away from Cathedral City Reims. Coming from organically grown grapes, 2007 is one of the finest vintage in the past 20 years in Champagne and we are extremely privileged and delighted to be able to offer this vintage at the very best drinking window possible. The blend is based on the very best terroirs in José's portfolio, old vines and also matured in oak for 8 months before resting in the cellars on fine lees for an incredible 10 years. The majority of Chardonnay ensures the freshness and delicate character of the wines while Pint Noir and Pinot Meunier give the strength and the nutty power. We will best describe this Champagne as a refine Burgundy with bubbles. For us it delivers way more than it suggest and makes it the very best Vintage grower Champagne and value for money there is on the market. |
