A cooler vintage that let Ausone's limestone terroir sing – this 2017 Chapelle dazzles with precision over power. Think redcurrant filigree, rose petal, and a striking crushed chalk minerality that carries through the endless finish (JS 95pts, WA 94pts). The higher Cabernet Franc proportion (45%) gives this an almost Burgundian tension – all finesse and energy, making it perfect now with duck breast or cellar-worthy through 2040.
