    This Volnay "Village" is unusual, coming from just a single parcel (Clos de la Rougeotte) close to the winery, rather than being a blend of several different vineyards. Sheer class and quality, the dark cherry and bergamot scents on the nose are pure Pinot Noir, leading to a zipping fresh juicy mouthful of tart red cherries and strawberry, with a lively finish. Thoroughly enjoyable. Made by one of the top families of Burgundy; this is totally delicious drinking.
