Now reaching its optimum drinking time and in perfect timing for spring drinking, Wine Source is pleased to release from their reserve this stunning bottle of Justin "Tyler" Willett top wine. Willett at Tyler has the great fortune of working with the oldest vines in the Santa Rita Hills. Planted to a selection of cuttings from the famed Mt. Eden vineyard in the Santa Cruz Mountains, this parcel sits just below their block of chardonnay in very well-drained but deep chert/shale soils above chalk. This 45+ year old parcel planted by Richard Sanford and Michael Benedict routinely produce the most complex, pure and ethereal pinot noir in Tylers range. It is a wine of total grace and elegance. For this reasons, Justin is using 50% whole cluster fermentation in open top fermenter and letting the natural wild yeasts do their job before being matured in 30% new french oak. This is a treat and we strongly recommend it.
